Pre-orders opening tonight!

After close to five months of hard work, lots of video calls, back-and-forth communication with the printer, we are finally opening pre-orders for the Singapore Noodles 2021 Planner today! It’s taken us so long to get to this day and we are so grateful for how patient and kind you guys have been to us.

Singapore Noodles 2021 Planner is not just a planner. It is a fun and informative guide that takes you through a year through the lenses of Singaporeans from different walks of life. Because of that, we think it makes for a great Christmas gift for a homesick Singaporean living abroad, a foreigner who is keen to know more about our culture or any Singaporean who is interested in exploring our rich and diverse traditions and customs.

You’ll get to read about why certain days of the year are important to us and try your hand at making some of the festive foods at home. Qinyi and I had so much fun writing our own stories - Qinyi shares in February about Chinese New Year and dodging her relatives’ awkward questions, while I write in August about why eating durians at peak season is the ultimate symbol of being home.

I honestly don’t think there’s another planner like this currently out anywhere in the world - you might have a cookbook that shares recipes and stories of festive foods, but there isn’t a consolidated resource that provides recipes/ stories/ context for our festivals and serves as a reminder of when these special dates are. Which is why I’m so proud of the work that Qinyi and I have done, and can’t wait to share it all with you.

We highly recommend opting for the local pickup option if you live in Singapore - reducing waste and doing away with excess packaging is important to us. And the post office is always inundated with orders at the end of the year, so your orders may be delayed if you go with the mailed option.
